Taking place November 4th at London’s iconic Camden Roundhouse venue, the UK MVAs have just announced the nominations for their 19th edition – celebrating the best work in music videos in the UK and around the world. One of the awards, for Best Styling, will be presented in association with Dazed.

Leading up the nominations this year is Charli xcx with nine nods – including genre-spanning nominations in Best Pop Video (“Camera”), Best Dance/Electronic Video (“Residue”) and Best Rock Video (“Rock Music”). Meanwhile, Yung Lean and Gener8ion steal the plate for most nominations on a single video with the Romain Gavras-directed “Storm” – which featured a choreographed dance scene that went wildly viral. Among others, the video has been nominated for Best Performance, Best Casting and, fittingly, Best Choreography. 

Elsewhere, Irish rap trio Kneecap have received a number of nominations for videos released around this year’s landmark album Fenian – including for 13-minute epic video “Irish Goodbye”, directed by Thomas James and nominated five times, and “Sayonara”, directed by Finn Keenan and nominated three times. 

Over on Dazed’s Best Styling Award front, meanwhile, are nominations for: Rosalía’s “Berghain feat. Björk and Yves Tumor”, Adéla’s “KGB”, JADE’s “Church”, Charli xcx’s “SS26”, Tove Lo’s “I’m Your Girl, Right?”, and, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson’s “Stateside”.

Meanwhile, the nominees for the event’s biggest and most prestigious award, Video of the Year, are reserved for the night.
