Megan Thee Stallion drops ‘Hot Girl Summer’ with Nicki Minaj

It’s not a meme, it’s a MOVEMENT

Hot Girl Summer – the self-love movement and IRL/URL lifestyle led by Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion – has finally culminated in this season’s banger.

Meg has dropped her anthem, “Hot Girl Summer”, featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, along with some fire artwork feat. Meg and Nicki straddling a bottle of Hennessey, of course.

Last month, we heard how the rapper was working to copyright the now-iconic phrase, which she describes astutely as someone irrespective of gender or lifestyle who is “unapologetically them, having a good ass time. You know, just a bad bitch”.

In the new tune, produced by Bone Collector, Juicy J, and Crazy Mike, Meg and Nicki assert that it’s the season of “real hot girl shit”, a “hot Barbie summer”.

Megan raps over the percolating beat: “Look, college girl, but a freak on the weekend / Eat that dick up even when I’m going vegan / He be trippin’ on me and I know the reason / I gotta break up with my n**** every season.”

Who a hotter B? Who got a lot of D? / Who poppin' like a P when he be hoppin' out the V? (Brr) / And who gon' tell him that my bitch is getting her degree? / And when we say it's Hot Girl Summer, we ain't talkin' 'bout degrees,” Nicki spits.

Speaking with E! News about how the collab with the Queen rapper came together, Megan detailed: “So, the song was already recorded and ready to go, and then we just went live (on Instagram) together and she literally recorded her verse that night. And, they sent the song to me and I was like ‘This is not real life. Y’all are playing right now.’ I love it. It was amazing. I can’t believe she did it so fast.”

Megan also said she’d be up for collaborating with Cardi B and Rihanna on future tracks – “The bad girl and the hot girl, like that would be crazy!” she says.
