‘Why do we have to dehumanise each other to get a point across?’
SZA has taken to Twitter to complain of being “roughed up by a Philly cop” while in Philadelphia for a performance this weekend.
The singer, Top Dawg signee and Rihanna collaborator was in the Pennsylvanian city to perform at the Made in America festival on Sunday (September 4).
The 25-year-old New Jersey native wrote in a now-deleted tweet: “Just got roughed up by a Philly cop... Strange when it happens to u”.
“Like why do we have to dehumanise each other to get a point across?” she asked in another tweet. “It’s so sad... I know for a fact people are better than this.”
