Today has been a ridiculous day for high-profile releases, with Skepta, James Blake, and Anohni all releasing new albums. But, as ever, we’ve been digging deep to pick out the best under-the-radar tracks to have surfaced in recent days.
This week’s playlist can be divided into two distinct vibes. The first half features luminous pop from PC Music’s Danny L Harle (teaming up with Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek), hi-tech rap from iLoveMakonnen and Yung Lean, and uplifting R&B from Kehlani. The second half takes a more leftfield turn, with surreal lyricism from Let’s Eat Grandma, experimental pop from Björk-approved Leeds quartet Adult Jazz, and weirdo jams from Black Dice’s Eric Copeland.
