On the brink of a European tour, sisters Jessica and Jennifer Clavin, also known as rock & roll duo, Bleached, leave their home town of L.A. to cross the pond and talk to Dazed about their hard-edged yet vintage-inspired sound. Having received high praise after their sell-out 7"s 'Carter' and 'Searching Through the Past', the sisters anticipate a full length album to be on the cards for the future.

...the story behind your name?
Jennifer: We were trying to think of a name that sounded cool, visually could look really cool, and had some kind of meaning behind it. We were always bleaching our hair and jean jackets growing up and something Bleached is forever.
Jessie: Jen came up with Bleached but yes, Bleached is permanent.
...your worst vice?
Jennifer: When I go to Vegas I will gamble like every cent I own. It's bad.
... your favourite sound?
Jennifer: The Marimba in Rolling Stones "Under My Thumb"
Jessie: Merle Haggards Guitar tone in Mama tried.

Jennifer: You Tube because of all the awesome old band videos on it.
Jessie: I don't really go on the internet...but when i get the chance i like to look up my astrology...

Jennifer: Acne and Dolce & Gabbana

Jennifer: Owning a pair of green plaid bell bottom pants in the 8th grade.
Jessie: Really, really wanting a pair of Birkenstock sandals in the 5th grade.
