Alby Daniels

The 22-year-old Black Acre signing presents his first release arriving as a lush r'n'b-influenced EP brimming with warmth and dark atmospherics

It's easy to dismiss what reads on paper as just another London-based electronic producer turning his hand to chopping up r'n'b vocals - but singer and multi-instrumentalist Alby Daniels has caught our attention with his stand-out musical offering on Black Acre Records (championing new electronic producers such as the likes of Blue Daisy and Hyetal). Arriving on his first release as the lead track, 'This Dawn' is a moody and atmospheric piece, skipping along with 2-step rhythms under his own pop-tinged r'n'b lyrics. At the tender age of 22, Daniels having self-taught to play the drums and keyboards seems to be promising as more than a bedroom producer in North London...
