In the week that Warp Records released their acclaimed sophomore record “Gloss Drop”, the trashing New York experimental rock trio Battles landed in London to play Heaven. Dazed were there to document the notoriously wild live antics, the jarring guitars, thunderous drums and double-handed keyboard wizardly of Dave Konopka, John Stanier and Ian Williams respectively.
“Gloss Drop” features guest performances from Eye from The Boredoms, Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino and new wave synth icon Gary Numan on new soaring Battles single, the appropriately titled and super frenetic “My Machines”, which is available in August on download an coloured vinyl.
