The eclectic indie duo play the last instalment of the Italian brand's summer series alongside Tribes, Alex Winstone and Jess Mills
This week's final instalment of the Emporio Armani Summer Live series presents duo Rizzle Kicks headline. Playing alongside Tribes, Alex Winstone and Jess Mills, the line-up co-hosted by Island Records will be the last edition of this summer's garden parties from the label held at the New Bond Street store. Having invited the likes of Wolf Gang, Chew Lips and Aloe Blacc down to play their previous shows, the summer project has been an intimate series of gigs and DJ sets for a select number of guests as part of the Armani family. We spoke to Rizzle Kicks about the collaboration and of what's to come...
Dazed Digital: Have you worked with Armani before and what has the experience been like?
Rizzle Kicks: No we haven’t but we’re looking forward to DJing at their party next week. It should be a bubble. Hopefully gonna get some garments so we gwarn to look fly, fly as a motherfucker.
DD: What have you been up to recently?
Rizzle Kicks: Our main priorities have been revolving around looking after our super model girlfriends, they’re more hassle than you think. Apart from that, we’ve been focusing on our career as petrol merchants. Also been making a bit of music and playing a few gigs and pushing out our single Down with the Trumpets. OUT NOW.
DD: What are you most excited about this summer?
Rizzle Kicks: We’ve got a few festivals coming up too, T4 on the Beach, Underage Festival etc… should be sick.
DD: What tracks will you be listening to?
Rizzle Kicks: Rizzle Kicks- Down With The Trumpets and tunes from Example, Wretch, Yasmin, Ed Sheeran, Prince, Jamie Cullum, Q tip, De La Soul…
