French DJ Para One joins forces with East Coast vocalist San Serac for a new album on superstylish label Sixpack
Slice & Soda began as the codename for the top secret project between French producer Para One and US East Coast house vocalist San Serac before it stuck as the moniker for this intriguing collection of pop songs. Para One has been busy of late as a DJ, remixer, producer and recently label manager after starting Marble with pals Surkin and Bobmo from Institubes’ ashes - all while pushing this venture with San Serac on the side over the past two years.
The first evidence of Slice & Soda came in the form of EP, 'Year of the Dragon' – a bouncy, poppy track with production which grabs you as emerging from Paris as much as a baguette covered in brie and garlic. Coupled with the slightly haunting vocals it was a tasty start, with an appetising remix package which included servings from Villa, L-Vis 1990 and Jackson. Cue the album - Para One & San Serac presents Slice & Soda – out on Sixpack France this June, limited to a short run of digipacks.
