We chat to lead singer of the new band on Kitsune about his fashion secrets and Disneyland as they release their new 'Resolution of One' EP
After catching the attention of music honchos like those behind Kitsuné, Guards have released their new EP, 'Resolution of One' on the Parisian imprint. Richie James Follin, lead singer (and incidentally the brother of Madeline from Cults), and the band have produced another great offering following the success of their self-titled debut album. The three track EP is made up of Follin's favourite live song 'Resolution of One' and two previously unreleased songs 'Hear You Call' and 'Swimming After Dark', which are sure to turn them into household names soon.
...so special about you, then?
I'm in Guards.
...your worst vice?
I don't have one.
…the story behind your name?
It sounds tough.
... your favourite sound?
That sound an air conditioner makes...or a ceiling fan.
...your worst fashion secret?
I sagged. I once got fired from a job for it and even got benched on the basketball team for it. My grandmother told me I would regret sagging, but I still don't.
...your favourite website?
... the best thing about where you're from?
...at the top of your shit list?
...are you listening to now?
How would you describe your work?
The track "Resolution of One" will also be available on Kitsuné Maison 11 "The Indie-Dance issue", out on May 16th.
