Duties, responsibilities & deliverables

  • Work with the Head of Social to implement the community strategy across the key ‘conversation’ platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Pinterest and YouTube (and additional social platforms)

  • Work with Head of Social and Senior Instagram Editor on campaigns across
    Dazed’s social media platforms

  • Distribute editorial content in formats relevant for the different channels, implementing a social-native strategy where appropriate

  • Suggest and maintain consistency of social-first ideas/formats for any of the focus platforms and for upcoming campaigns

  • Encourage discussion and engagement across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Reddit on a daily/weekly basis

  • Monitoring conversation and posting relevant content to Facebook Group

  • Manage all crossposting with partners

  • Act as first point of contact for all social campaign roll out across the focus platforms, and be responsible for execution which at times will involve on-location work

  • Schedule on Facebook and Twitter to ensure the agreed frequency of publishing across both platforms

  • Manage the print cover launches on Facebook and Twitter

  • Support the commercial team with ideation, proposals and activation

  • Liaise with commercial team based on upcoming content, to ensure the team meets all the project’s deliverables

  • Work on achieving daily, weekly, monthly set targets  

  • Monitoring insights from Data Manager to feed into ongoing strategy

  • Identify trending topics to feed back to editorial team with suggestions for how to react

  • Work with Digital Marketing Manager to promote international stories on Facebook

  • Premiere and roll out videos across YouTube and Facebook

  • Grow Dazed’s presence and audience on Reddit, mainly by arranging AMAs and sharing articles in suitable subreddits

  • Increase the audience and conversation on YouTube Community page

  • Continue to use Twitter in an innovative and entertaining way, maximising potential on the platform

  • Develop Dazed’s tone of voice to fit what is agreed with Digital Editor and Head of Social

  • Respond to audience in certain circumstances when appropriate

  • Pitch and write for Dazed Digital when time allows
