On Friday, August 7, Dazed Club took over Dover Street Market London, giving our community an exclusive opportunity to shop and get snapped in the latest Comme des Garçons Play drop ahead of the store’s seasonal refresh. The afternoon offered up the chance for Dazed Clubbers to experience Tachiagari (Japanese for ‘beginning’ or ‘start’), Dover Street Market’s biannual ritual of closing the store to redesign the space and welcome a new season of collections.

After signing up through the Dazed Club app, members were invited to choose their own  Comme des Garçons Play piece to take home, selecting from a range of t-shirts. Dazed Club Curator Aarony Bailey was on hand to capture the afternoon on film, photographing Clubbers as they styled their new pieces.

Clubbers had the chance to explore the iconic store at their own pace, discovering the collection and taking in the store’s ever-changing spaces. Throughout the afternoon, they got to chat with one another while jumping from rack to rack with the Dazed and Dover Street Market teams.

The takeover was rounded off with complimentary food and chilled beverages upstairs in the Rose Bakery – perfect for combating the afternoon’s fierce heat.
