If the mainline show gave us 'real' within a dreamlike context, then the diffusion line thumped out (to Karen O's Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack to be precise...) and declared that it's time to get real with khaki, of which there was a lot of. This was emphasised with brigher colours lest the colour should drown and somber up these models are were definitely hell bent on having fun with their cute backpacks, shoulder slung purses, military-style coats and jackets and shiny lace-up shoes. The latter half was more familiar Marc by Marc Jacobs ground where prom dresses are made flirty and casual and mens' suits are boyishly shrunken.
