Firetrap Design Competition Winner

Dazed announce the winners of the Firetrap album cover design competition

With and Full Time Hobby, Firetrap put out an open call for their forthcoming Hobbyism compilation album cover with a competition for all creatives. Hooking up to seek out graphic design gurus such as photographers, illustrators, typographers and artists, Firetrap and Dazed set the brief for contestants to send in designs be it in the form of art, photography or graphics to create the new Full Time Hobby album cover of their compilation out next year, 'Hobbyism'.

The winner will see their design used as a cover for Hobbyism, and their work will also be reproduced on a Firetrap product, sold in their stores. The Dazed editors and Firetrap selected four runners-up from the top voted entries, who, along with the winner, will see their design on Firetrap product and receive £250 of Firetrap vouchers to redeem online.

Full Time Hobby Winners
The winner of the competition has now been announced as London-based Christopher Nieri.
Having graduated this year in Graphic Communication at the Bath School of Art & Design, Nieri says of his design: "I was trying to evoke an instability in a simple, graphic way. It's a moment frozen in time which could play out in a number of different ways."

Runners-up were Nicolas Cuestas from Bogota/Brooklyn, Alejandro Castro Perez - Yucatan, Mexico, Muris Fixon - Sarajevo/Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Ger Heffernan from Dublin, Ireland. See the winning designs here.
