There were quirky yet girly details abound at Peter Som's last collection and this time it was more of the same but gussied up in a grown up version. The fur explosion this season can be seen at Som in a rainbow array of colours. The key to Som's recipe to eccentricity that never teters over to the ridiculous is his sumptuous mixed prints that always go with the mantra that 'more is more'.
Nothing was solid and everything had some kind of a print and texture which Som balanced out with the deft colour combinations that never well and truly clashed. While there was still a lot of the uptown girl traits that Som favours, some slightly 70s-influenced shapes courtesy of Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock gave way to the flowing maxi dresses and skirts and the combination of hulking shaggy furs with flared trousers.
