The installation entitled 'Six Hands' is collaboration between Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 and American artist Gaston Marticorena (famed for working with incongruous objects). It features snow-white squirrels with larger than life white plume tails, owls and deer’s, set to the backdrop of the forest which has been fashioned using recycled materials and plaster. In contrast and perhaps in keeping with Marticorena's design ethic, there are light sculptures using kaleidoscope techniques based on early film experiments, inspired by Fred Astaire and the silhouettes of 1930's New York Theatre. The project is timed to coincide with the Salone del Mobile, which runs 22-27 April 09 and can be found in the Dsquared2 boutique on Via Verri 4, Milan.
