Marcus Wainwright and David Neville combine underwear and outerwear to construct an assertive sense of elegance

Initial reaction:

Pyjama dressing perfected for city slicking during the cold and rainy winter months.

Underwear meets outerwear:

Marcus Wainwright and David Neville looked to nightwear this season, with silk charmeuse tops layered over gauze tees or slip dresses and slimly tailored pants. Underwear elements were paired with the designers’ strong outerwear, and coats played a key role – standouts included the long, almost laminated melton coats that ran throughout the collection, complete with quilted lining and a heavy sheen. While the colour palette ranged from black and taupe to cabernet and orange, one thing nearly all of the outwear had in common: a distinct waterproof feeling, so this slip dress clad girl can venture out and brave the elements – it is winter, after all.

Higher state of consciousness:

Continuing their longstanding collaboration, rag & bone enlisted the talents of Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich to create an original soundtrack for the show, which included Josh Wink’s “Higher State of Consciousness”. Matte Films and Legs Media, which were responsible for the brand's AW15 film campaign created the eye-catching projections that coincided with the models walking the runway.
