Set in a decadent marbled space, models filed through a gilded doorway. A solid rockstar soundtrack played out – Alt-J followed by the melancholic sounds of Marilyn Manson.
Ditching last season’s lime green for a palette of pensive purples and moody blues, Cavalli was all about the brooding rockstar – complete with a southern cowboy twist. With Elvis style quiffs, the notion was less ‘wear your heart on your sleeve’ and more on your shirt front. Strips of fabric printed with the words ‘E…empathy’ and ‘No... Bounds’ were pinned to top halves, serving as emotive banners. Check print shirts and baroque knits were paired with slim fit leather trousers, and fur coats added an imposing air to outfits.
How it was worn:
Gold studs on a leather jacket and reptile pockets on a parka made for rock star worthy detailing, and looks were finished with pointed black boots.
