It's in the detail...
Agata Belcen, AnOther magazine's fashion editor, updates us on day six of New York fashion week...
Dazed Digital: What have been your highlights of the day?
Agata Belcen: I think my highlights have been in the details. At Marc by Marc Jacobs I liked the walking socks worn with sandals and the skull disco 80s print. At Victoria Victoria Beckham, I liked the short strap Harper bag worn high across the front. And at Diesel, the graffiti print denim was my favourite.
DD: Have you noticed any trends emerging?
Agata Belcen: There have been quite a lot of flat or low-heeled shoes which I'm strongly in favour of, I especially liked the Marc Jacobs winklepickers. A lot of monochrome as well. But I don't necessarily think this will flow through to the other cities, it might very well be contained to New York, and new trends will emerge as we go.
DD: What's been the best off catwalk moment so far?
Agata Belcen: For me it's the food. I'm staying near Chelsea so I eat at the Chelsea Market quite a lot – mainly Sushi and ice cream. I've had some Southern comfort food at a restaurant called the Tipsy Patron and good meat and liquor at Rye in Brooklyn.
