The show was great – it's always so much fun to work on the Acne show! The collection was cinematic, playfully relaxed, graphic, tailored with lots of layering.
The venue was the private theatre of an embassy – you walked through great, big wooden Parisian doors, through a beautiful courtyard to a marble staircase. Our backstage area was grand marble ballroom. We arrived at 10am, four hours before the show to set up and make sure everything was steamed and all the accessories and shoes were in place.
There was a live piano performance by the fabulous Xavier, as guests were seated and the boys walked the catwalk to a stream of beats by Frédéric Sanchez – which finished off with an aria!
Everything went really well. Fittings went so smoothly that we were kind of waiting for a dramatic moment – then one of the models was completely MIA until about half an hour before the show started. He arrived at the last minute and it was all smooth sailing.
Look 14 was my favourite. I loved all the striped looks and especially the wide trousers and the raw edged denim. And I love, love, love the Borsalino hats, they are definitely on my summer wish list.
