Jean Claude Jitrois and our very own Rankin have teamed up for a fifth year to produce a new women's wear campaign for the A/W11 collection and this time they have revisited the refined and sophisticated 1930s. The mysterious and atmospheric images, influenced by the film noir genre, creates a dramatic and enigmatic narrative. The campaign pays homage to Vita Sackville-West’s novel Dark Island, with a focus on representing the brand through each character, each inspired by film noir icons. The final element is the beautiful backdrop of Eltham Palace which features as the fifth, and equally significant, character. The art deco style of the interiors fits perfectly with the feel of the shots. Letting the clothes speak for themselves, Jitrois and Rankin create the image of a multi-faceted woman-aloof and fascinating in her stance, leaving the viewer intrigued.
