From The Ordinary to CeraVe: 2020’s most popular beauty products

TextDominic Cadogan

Snatch them up before everybody else does

If you’re anything like me (why wouldn’t you want to be?) then you’ve probably spent the year practising self-care (read: buying stuff) to avoid acknowledging the hellscape outside.

The good news is that you’re not alone because unsurprisingly the online sales of beauty products have gone through the roof. During the summer, ASOS reportedly sold over 265,000 face masks, seeing a 329 per cent increase in sales mostly due to demand for beauty products.

Boots has also been looking into its sales of beauty products, noting that affordable skincare is most important to its customers. “We know our customers want value for money when it comes to skincare and this doesn’t always mean shopping on a budget,” says Joanna Rogers, trading director and VP of beauty at Boots. “Since the pandemic, customers have become more focused on investing in cost-effective products that are right for their skin type and deliver results.”

To help you lighten your purse/wallet/coin sack, splurge on the top 10 most popular beauty products of the year – including The Ordinary, Huda Beauty, CeraVe, Aesop, and more – before they’re gone.
