The YouTube stars have partnered with Uoma Beauty for a carnival-inspired campaign

It’s that carnival time of the year, where people across the world from New Orleans to Rio de Janeiro take to the streets in fabulous feathered costumes to dance, celebrate and be merry. Bringing the colour and drama of carnival to a new make-up collection is Uoma Beauty which has just launched its new limited edition Black Magic Carnival Collection.

Uoma Beauty came out of the gate running last year with its authentically diverse range of make-up. Inspired by founder and beauty veteran Sharon Chuter’s culture and community, Uoma, which means “beautiful” in the Nigerian language Igbo, was born out of frustrations Chuter was having working in an industry which did not care for nor cater to her as a woman of colour.

With this new collection, Chuter has turned to the extravagance of carnival for inspiration. The Black Magic Carnival Collection features a 10-shade eyeshadow palette, two glitter lipsticks, two face and body highlighters and four styles of false lashes, of course, all bringing that extra carnival spirit with rhinestones, dramatic feathery length and colour.   

In addition to this, the brand has teamed up with YouTuber stars Jackie Aina and Patrick Starr to not only star in the carnival-themed campaign but to act as creative collaborators for a new make-up challenge. Uoma Beauty's Next Beauty Creators asks fans to show off their skills by creating fantastical carnival-inspired beauty looks with the new products and then post it on Instagram with the tag #UOMACARNIVAL and @UOMABeauty or submit it via the website. Aina and Starrr will select four winners, three of which will win $1,000 and one who will win $5,000.

So get that glitter out and pop on your lashes, beauty lovers!
