Calling all spooky bitches! Try this dark beauty trend post-Halloween

TextJules and Gebs

No longer to be concealed, tribal tattoo-inspired ‘tramp stamp’ make-up and hair looks can be shown off wherever you want

The brainchild of best friends Jules and Gebs, @ravvebeauty is the Instagram account dedicated to showcasing and celebrating all that is disturbing, disarming and alluring when it comes to underground beauty. Lending us their well-honed eye, here they pick their top beauty Instagrams of the month.

It’s generally understood that October is the moment in time that brings the spooky bitch out of each and every one of us; and that in the immediate wake of Halloween, we all peacefully return to the bright side of beauty in anticipation of the holiday season. This year is different. For months, we’ve seen major Instagram beauty forces edging on the dark side with noir looks that are both artsy and playful, yet feel everything but Party City.

Remember the good old tramp stamps from the 90s and early 00s –  inspired by tribal tattoo traditions, metal rock bands, biker and gamer culture, comic book villains, and emo teen spellbooks – well they’re back!

And guess what, after almost two decades of shameful confinement in our ass cracks, tramp stamp make-up is now on display front and centre – on the eyes, lips, cheeks, and heads of the beauty underground. Is your stencil game ready?

Here are some of @ravvebeauty’s faves:
