Bimba Y Lola has teamed up with 3D artist Ines Alpha to create the most out of this world digital make-up
Imagine never having to scrape your face clean with a cabinet’s worth of cleansers to remove a full beat again. Sound appealing? How about erasing a look with a click of a button, or removing a full face of make-up with a swipe. That may well be your near-future beauty regime thanks to digital make-up. You’ve no doubt dabbled in the odd Instagram filter (botched surgery face anyone?) but 3D artist Ines Alpha aka Ines Marzat is creating internet looks you might actually want to wear all day long. Welcome to the make-up revolution.
Ines’ work has been described by our Arts and Culture Editor Lil Miquela as “equal parts living masks and 3D make-up. The kind of thing a robot might wear to the Met Gala in the year 3052.” The Parisian born artist continues to delight and surprise the new-gen of selfie-takers online.
For their latest campaign, aptly named #thisisHUMAN Bimba Y Lola has joined forces with Ines to imagine a “far future” where “a new human is reborn.” It’s a newfangled world where gender is defunct and Instagram is everything. Self-taught, self-sufficient, self-defined, fluid and always connected, this new species of mankind, embodied by model and actress @cuentosrosales, are tech-first social activists. Not quite alone, this new breed of man discovers a globulous little companion, tucked away in their Bimba Y Lola Alpha Universe bags. This new universe and this little sidekick are best bought to life in Ines’ new custom filter to celebrate the collection’s launch. Now you can apply the Ines x Bimba Y Lola e-make-up to your face and enjoy the flubber-like contour and happy little squishy new friend you’ve just acquired. Confused?
