Glossier teams up with Bark on pup-friendly make-up toys

TextAlex Peters

Woof woof

There have been some unusual beauty collaborations in the past. Tonymoly teaming up with Samyang for spicy ramen-inspired products, for example. And who can forget the Wu-Tang Clan’s lipstick range with Milk Makeup? But we might just have arrived at the weirdest yet.

It has been announced that Glossier and Bark have partnered up on two make-up themed dog toys. It’s not, perhaps, the most obvious pairing but who are we to deny a pup the chance to get that perfect millennial pink Insta shot? The plush toys have been fashioned in the shape of two of Glossier’s signature products Boy Brow and Balm Dotcom now reimagined as Toy Brow (retailing at $10) and Balm Dogcom ($8). Toy Brow even separates into two pieces – tube and wand – mimicking the human version.

Like us, you are probably wondering how this collaboration came to be. Well, it turns out that Glossier’s flagship store in New York is located just around the corner from Bark’s offices. The Bark team noticed that there was a lot of overlap between their customers and Glossier’s and the rest, as they say, is history.

Bark x Glossier will be available from September 6 at barkshop.com
