Is this video proof that Kanye West eats his own earwax?

Yes, you read that right: fans are accusing the rapper of sampling the fruits of his ear

Kanye West may or may not be starting his own cult. His weekly Sunday Services have gained a devout following during the past few months and over the summer the rapper secretly began building mysterious 50 feet domes on 300 acres of land that he owns in Calabasas (Rajneeshpuram, anyone?). Although, TMZ reported that they have since been torn down after Kanye’s crew were cited for violating building codes and not having the proper permits.

But let’s put that all to the side, for now, because more pressingly there’s stranger Yeezy news afoot. The rapper, who last week announced his ninth studio album, Jesus Is King, has been accused of eating his own earwax. The claim comes from Twitter user @j0rgecastr0 who appears to have attended yesterday’s (September 1) Sunday Service and been stationed very near indeed to the man himself. In between religious renditions of “Sicko Mode” and “California Love,” @j0rgecastr0 captured footage from the service in which Kanye appears to scratch his ear and then put his hand to his mouth. @j0rgecastr0 then posted the video to the social media platform accompanied by the caption: “So I didn’t even notice but I got a video of @kanyewest eating his earwax.”

Since last night, the tweet has racked up over 80k likes and 13k retweets, and the comments are full with people debating whether Kanye has been rightly or wrongly accused. Overall, however, the consensus seems to be that it was an innocent earlobe scratch followed by the removal of some gum.

So all’s well that ends well.
