Now you can look like your favourite boyband
BTS are having a big moment. Not only did the seven member strong South Korean pop group grace the cover of Time Magazine earlier this week, they also addressed the Global Assembly of the United Nations, and played to a small crowd of 40,000 at New York’s Citifield. What have you done this week?
If that wasn’t enough, the beloved boy band have just announced their second make-up and skincare collection, in collaboration with Korean cosmetics brand VT. Following on from their previous collection of colour-correcting compacts, which contained SPF50 protection and worked miracles on reducing redness, their latest range includes a selection of lipsticks, foundation, and tinted colour correcting cream. It wouldn’t be BTS without insanely cute packaging, decorated here with their cartoon avatars, BT21.
In just five short years, BTS has built up a global fanbase of militantly obsessive fans (it’s no wonder they call themselves the BTS Army), and have broken numerous world records (some of them were their own) with the biggest selling K-Pop album, Love Yourself:Her (over a million in domestic sales alone), and by becoming the fastest K-Pop group to hit 100 million YouTube views for their lead single DNA. Ranking #14 on the UK album chart, and in the top 10 on the US Billboard 200 album chart, they’re Korea’s most prominent act to break the West. And now, with their new make-up line dropping tomorrow, it seems their success knows no bounds.
