Get ready to feel Chill AF, Happy AF, or Hyped AF with the three scientifically-formulated scents

Addison Rae is releasing a TikTok fragrance line for the social media platform’s shopping feature as her second beauty venture.

Rae, who is the third most popular TikTok creator behind only Charli D’Amelio and Khaby Lame, has teamed up with Hampton Beauty for the AF Collection, a “science-based” line of fragrances that take inspiration from different moods, namely Chill AF, Happy AF, and Hyped AF.

The three launch scents were chosen via a rigorous scientific process according to Lori Mariano, managing partner at Hampton Beauty. She told WWD: “The ingredients were put in front of respondents, and they read the reaction to the scent, and it affects the part of the brain that has to do with emotion. If the calming part of the brain was affected, those ingredients became (Chill AF). It’s completely science-based.”

Mariano added that Rae wanted “not only for her audience and fans to smell good, she wanted them to feel good. Her whole concept was how do we take fragrance to a different approach? The Gen Z audience wants you to do something a little different than the norm. This answers that question for them. We gave Addison a platform to approach fragrance from a different angle.”

The TikTok personality is also making moves in the music and film worlds, having released her debut single “Obsessed” in March of this year, and shortly after starring in Netflix’s She's All That, a gender-flipped remake of the 1999 classic. But Rae, 21, said she felt like the AF collection was “that next thing” to do.

“Because I’m a part of Gen Z and most of my audience is Gen Z, I have a pretty good sense of what they like,” she said. “Progressively, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve been super interested in fragrance. It’s such a different area to put yourself into and get to know and see the behind-the-scenes.”

You can sign up for early access to the fragrance line here.
