Sylvie MacMillan is offering up the original runway nail guards

Asai’s SS19 show saw the designer continue to mix together his heritage with Western tropes in a collection full of vibrant hues and luxe materials. For the nails, A Sai Ta worked with long-time collaborator, nail extraordinaire Sylvie MacMillan who designed elaborate creations from sculpted cherry blossom talons to supersized jade and black marble pieces.

Now, MacMillan is giving you the chance to own these original statement nail guards. The nail artist is putting them up for sale to raise money for DJ, producer, musician Ms Carrie Stacks’ medical transition fund. Stacks’ has been a steadfast fixture on the London club circuit and a key member of the East London creative community since the early 2010s, and now the community is coming together to support her.

There are four sets of nail guards up for grabs: a two-piece sculpted cherry blossom set, a two-piece tortoiseshell set, a two-piece sculpted black marble set, and a two-piece jade set. Each set is £50 and all the money goes to the fund. More information here
