Want to get rid of dead skin on your feet? Here are best peeling foot masks

TextAlex Peters

Slough that skin off like a snake

Social distancing continues on, and as the weeks have turned into months, we’ve had the time at home to go deep with our body care. While in the usual chaos of regular life we may have only had the chance for a quick sheet mask once a week, now we have the opportunity to look after ourselves from head to toe. Literally.

Since lockdown, the humble foot mask has experienced a surge in popularity. Packed full of exfoliating acids, these peeling sock treatments break down your dead skin, helping you shed layers like a snake until your feet are reborn, baby-smooth. Now, be warned: this is not for the faint of heart. One look at foot mask brand Baby Foot’s Instagram account brimming with peeling foot flesh is enough to make you feel a bit queasy. But if you can handle that, now is the perfect time to do it. Your feet will take between a couple of days to two weeks to fully shed so take our current period isolation as an opportunity. You probably won’t be seeing anyone in the foreseeable future and therefore can't scare them off with your constant sloughing off of foot skin.

Here are our top peeling foot mask picks.
