Since launching Kylie Cosmetics in 2016, the young reality star and billionaire has dropped collections with sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, as well as mother Kris and best friend/ potential enemy Jordyn Woods. One sister who has been conspicuously absent from the make-up dynasty, however, was older sister Kendall. Until now.
During an Instagram live chat with followers as she was having her make-up done, Kylie dropped that news that she was working on collaborations with make-up artist and friend Ariel Tejada and teased that there might be a project with Kendall in the works. When asked by a fan for a collab with Kendall, Kylie responded “shhh,” adding that Kendall had been in a contract for a “really long time. So I couldn’t do a collab with her. That’s the only reason why I didn’t collab with her. But, you know, we worked it out.” In 2016, Estée Launder launched millennial-targeted range Estée Edits with Kendall as the face of the brand. The line was discontinued just over a year later, perhaps the reason for this latest development.
When we spoke to Kylie ahead of her Dazed Beauty cover shoot last year, she hinted at the possibility of working with Kendall, telling us she “may or may not be doing a collaboration with Kendall, which I’m very excited for.” Kylie also teased upcoming launches of new categories for Kylie Cosmetics saying, “the products that I am most looking forward to for Kylie Cosmetics next year is probably Kybrows and Kylashes” – areas that Kylie Cosmetics currently does not cater for.
