A glimpse of Berlin in the 80s, when somewhere in between the Wall and firewalls, the old buildings and the new, Mania D and Westbam, there was Mark Reeder from Manchester. Drawn by his love of off-the-wall urban electronic music, this British musician, label-maker and military fetishist came to Berlin and (fortunately) filmed everything he experienced.
The result of this astonishing archive is B-Movie – a feature length doc that premiered at the Berlinale and was compiled by Jörg A. Hoppe, Klaus Maeck and Heiko Lange. Read the interview with the filmmakers here and watch an extract above.
