Earlier this year in March, Dazed and Swatch unveiled a brand new website dedicated to daily, exclusive stories from the world’s most exciting cities and new creative hubs. Satellite Voices is led by our local city editors, on the ground across Tokyo, Paris, Shanghai, Moscow, Munich, Rome, Santiago and Dubai, celebrating each region’s fresh, emerging talent alongside homegrown cultural icons. As a round up of 2011, our city editors pick their favourite Satellite Voices stories in fashion, music, art, film, photography and culture.

Photography: Zhu Quan Zhu Quan is a friend of mine. We've been friends for a long while, I would always see him at a ton of different parties, his camera flash going off all the time. He captures life around him in a poetic manner, now focusing on his wife...
Fashion: Ziggy Chen At the recent Shanghai Fashion Week I found something really inspiring, a new project from the Decoster label called DecosterConcept a dark force by a certified Shanghai creative, Ziggy Chen. The design director says of the collection: "This is all about life experience, I like historical elements such as furniture and architecture. I like texture with no luster and used items."
Art: Maleonn As one of my favourite artists in China, Maleonn always surprises people with his artwork. It can be scary, it can be beautiful and you can always find a more meaningful spirit inside of his artwork. His importance in the Chinese contemporary art scene is that he genuinely makes you think about life... www.satellitevoices.com www.facebook.com/SatelliteVoices
