Dazed has teamed up with MPB, a provider of high-quality, used photography kit, to gift an emerging photographer a camera to bring their shoot idea to life!

 

In addition to the camera, the selected photographer will receive a budget of £1,000 and access to borrow any equipment for up to a total value of £10,000. You will also receive support and guidance to ensure the idea really pops – plus a chance to get your work featured in an editorial on Dazed! While you’ll get support, you’ll also have total freedom to dream up your own concept, build your own team, and manage all production elements, to see your shoot come to life from idea to reality.

 

After the shoot, you’ll also get to keep your camera. We will also ask you to share your experience with it, including creative reflections. These will be part of the editorial on the Dazed site, highlighting both your own individual creative practice, as well as your experience using the camera you get gifted. Anything in stock at MPB can be borrowed, for up to a total of £10,000 value of equipment and for two weeks. This callout is open to Dazed Clubbers based in the UK only.

You’ll need to fill out the submission form on the Dazed Club app, which includes sharing a photoshoot treatment deck outlining your concept. This includes who your team would be e.g. hairstylist, makeup artist, stylist etc., and what equipment you would need (check the MPB site to see equipment available).

 

Along with this, we’re looking for a brief statement outlining how this opportunity would help to develop your practice. We’re looking for well thought out, considered submissions with fully fleshed out concepts!
