EDBANGER GETS DZD

No lie, my ears are still ringing from the Ed Banger extravaganza that was DZD last night. Though permanent damage would be a bummer, it may have just about been worth it. The noisy Parisian fiends were in London, en masse, shooting the video for the upcoming Justice single D.A.N.C.E, after which Pedro Winter, Xavier and Gaspard from Justice, DJ Mehdi and designer SO ME descended onto Moonlighting in Soho for Dazed celebrations. DJ Mehdi took over with his hip hop swagger, Va Va Voom, signalling the start of chaos, where much sweat was poured over his twisted barrage of electro, gentleman’s booty rap.

Xavier popped up on stage to go back to back with Mehdi, launching into a Justice set of majestic Ed Banger hits before Busy P and even SO ME got involved in the mix. From Daft Punk to The Pixies, Uffie to Chromeo, the Francophilic disco dancing crowd kept going all the way through to 2am when the lights went up and the last shots, shot. The Ed Banger family loved it too, with Pedro saying, "It was dope, I love the club! It’s sorta kitsch and the Dazed girls are hot... they're very excitable." SO ME agrees, "We love these sort of 80s places, it’s like the club Paris Paris, it's crazy busy and you can really extend to all the people!" Though Xavier from Justice maintained his cool, calm, French exterior simply saying, "We were not supposed to be here, but came down and it’s cool." Exactly.
