China's most celebrated fashion photographer shows her retrospective at Shanghai's Museum of Contemporary Art
- Text by Karchun Leung
As one of the most celebrated fashion photographers in China, 31-year-old Chen Man is being honoured with a certified solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai, a retrospective of work that spans almost a decade, from her theatrical, optimistic and hypercoloured work for the forward thinking Chinese cultural magazine Vision, through to photos for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
With a striding imagination and sense of fantasy, Chen Man's imagery exagerates the subjects' personality and sensuality, with an aesthetic vision unlike any other young artist in China.
Chen Man's show runs to February 7 at the Museum of Contemporary Art @
