The new fashion label from sibling brothers who learned their trade at Raf Simons
- Text by Karchun Leung
Clothing always represents one’s emotion at that moment and fashion is the reflection of a society, its current situation and value. This is why this new cutting edge (though with a subtle beauty) fashion label is named Daoyin, which means reflection in Chinese. The designers behind the label are brothers Hong and James, with Hong a long time designer with Raf Simons and James another fashion industry old timer as a designer and consultant. The debut collection of Daoyinwas unveiled last week as a conceptual yet subtle, cool, edgy and elegant series that embodies the strong modern feeling of Chinese fashion design.
