The Shanghai designer behind La Vie presents her new collection and the collision of traditional and the contemporary

Known for her long running, Shanghai-based label, La Vie, designer Jenny Ji's winning aesthetic has always combined traditional Chinese techniques with a Western cut to create designs with a contemporary spirit. She just presented Fall/Winter on the Bund 18, and this collection has a very strong connection with minority China, from the collection you can see a lot of beautiful embroidery from Gui Zhou, and the playfulness of the mixture between tradition and modern throughout the show.
