By exploring the unlimited possibilities of glass, the Shanghai Museum of Glass opening last week showcases the vision and true value of it. After exploring dozens of museums around the world, the museum’s founding committee finally invited the German architectural team Tilman Thuermer for the project designing the museum and outcome is pretty amazing.

Both the building glass and the top glass artwork on display offer an unforgettable combination of art and technology, over 3,500 sqm space unfolds the thousand-year-old story of ancient glassmaking to present day applications for astronautics. This museum is setting a new direction and standard for the future.
