A cultural partnership and exchange celebrating traditional East Asian art
- Text by Karchun Leung
Welcoming the year of 2012, MOCA Shanghai is presenting “Nostalgia: East Asia Contemporary Art Exhibition” in collaboration with The Korea Foundation. This exhibition is organized with total devotion by Kim Sun-hee, a representative curator of the Asian art world.
The show presents works by 14 artists from China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan, striving to deepen the prosperity of cultural partnership and exchange among the three East Asian countries through contemporary art. The idea is that new perspectives can be opened up in Chinese contemporary art through this exhibition, which expresses nostalgia for traditional art that has been lost in East Asian contemporary art during its growth under the influence of Western modern art.
Nostalgia-East Asia runs to May 1 at the MOCA Shanghai @
