Santiago's International Film Festival launches on Friday

Since its creation, Sanfic (Santiago Festival Internacional de Cine) has become the most important local event of the year for film lovers. The seventh edition starts this Friday August 17 and will run through until August 27, with the traditional local competition, some big name movies and parallel activities.
Also in attendance are guests like actors Willem Dafoe, Angie Cepeda and Ricardo Darín, as well as director Amos Gitai who will be presenting movies and giving lectures to all attendees.
