The first museum show in Rome by the Viking of performance art
- Text by Luca Lo Pinto
This Thursday March 15 Macro, the Museum of contemporary art of Rome, will open several shows and will officially inaugurate the new direction by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi. As usual in Rome, we have big museums with no money. It seems that Pietromarchi had found the right key, transforming part of the exhibition spaces in artists studio. Among the different projects that will be shown this week, one deserves to be underlined. It's the solo exhibition by Marcello Maloberti, one of the most visionary artists of his generation. Marcello eats and throws up images deriving from everyday experience giving them a new life through his performances and installations. We don't know so much about what he will present in Rome. Except for the title: "Blitz". It promises to deliver.
Marcello Maloberti opens at 6.30 on March 15 at Macro @
