La Cinémathèque Française pays homage to the great American filmmaker

The Spring 2012 will be strange and poetic. "The Tim Burton Exhibition" will explore the œuvre of the man and his inspirations coming form American popular culture. Following the MoMA in New York, where the exhibition was a success, Tim Burton has chosen La Cinémathèque Française to present all his work to the European public. His eccentric illustrations and photographs are influenced by Edgar Allan Poe and the Surrealists. Drawings, paintings, storyboards, models, costumes, film clips... this exhibition explores all the talents of Burton through 700 pieces of work. Visitors can alson discover his early work, produced when he was a teenager in suburban Los Angeles.
