Satellite Voices presents an insight into the photography of Oliver Spies. The artist who’s living between Munich and Paris specialises in men’s and women’s photography, infamous for his beautiful, eye-catching and intimate portraits.
Satellite Voices: What was the first thing you ever made?
Oliver Spies: I carved a whistle.
SV: What’s your dream project?
Oliver Spies: Travelling around the world and shooting faces.
SV: How do you describe your photography?
Oliver Spies: Just have a look at my pictures.
SV: Where do you work?
Oliver Spies: In Paris and Munich.
SV: How long have you lived in Munich and what brought you there?
Oliver Spies: I was born in Munich, moved to London and Paris and came back to Munich with my family.
SV: Where do you live exactly and what inspires you about that area of town?
Oliver Spies: I live in a village 20 km from the city Munich. It's great seeing the horizon there.
