- Text by Christine Bierhals
Alp Tigli joins Satellite Voices for his guest street style column. The talented up-and-coming photographer presents his viewon Munich's creative scenes. He’s always on the move – by bike – to absorb and capture real moments on the streets of Munich. Nothing is staged in Alp Tiglis photography – everything is real: the people, their style and emotions.
Satellite Voices: Where do you live and what inspires you about that area of town?
Alp Tigli: I live in the Westend of Munich. Here you can find an interesting multicultural mix.
SV: What inspires you about the whole city of Munich?
Alp Tigli: I get my insprations from the nature, especially the beautiful mountains. I find the calmness and can get inspired. Besides that, I find my inspiration on the streets. The people are especially inspiring to me.
SV: What is your favourite hidden city spot?
Alp Tigli: I like the center of Munich around the Hofgarten, Maximilian Street, the opera. I like the chaos and the mix of different cultures that meet there. I like the hecticness and in contrast the calmness, for example the park Hofgarten.
SV: What can you find in your city that you cant get anywhere else?
Alp Tigli: The Hofbräuhaus, the Haxenbauer, the Viktualienmarkt – Munich’s culinary lexicon – and the mountains around.
