The launch of the city's largest cultural film festival

Filmfest Munich is the city's largest film festival and this year, 237 films will be shown this year from June 24 to July 2. From the most breakthrough German movies to international blockbusters, the likes of Jean-Luc Godard, André Téchiné, Martin Scorsese und Raúl Ruiz will be debuting films at the festival.
This year, the festival focuses on children in society and global differences with the German offerings portraying the strong characteristics of young women in Germany alongside the celebration of female directors.
