Introducing the brilliant design duo, Munich figureheads in the world of illustration and video animation
- Text by Sylvia Weber
Tobias Knipf and Andreas Kronbeck aka MUSCLEBEAVER are an internationally successful design duo from Munich who produce brilliant video animations, album artworks, graphic designs, music videos and illustrations.
MUSCLEBEAVER have worked as a team since 2005 and began to carve out a name for themselves while still students, producing live visual projections for the walls of Munich clubs including Rote Sonne or Café King In 2007 the designers moved into their own premises in Munich's Westend district.
MUSCLEBEAVER's hallmark is the painstakingly detailed visualization of complex content, which is broken down into its basic elements in a stunningly memorable way. The team's outstanding visuals are packed with sensitivity, stylish aesthetics and sparky humour. Crammed with breathtaking details, MUSCLEBEAVER's creations are unique, innovative, new and unfamiliar - yet immediately accepted as valid representations.
The signature of a MUSCLEBEAVER project is, in their own words: "Our rather different design style: passion, curiosity, fun, ambition and our distinctive MSLBVR language."
Today MUSCLEBEAVER mainly work in music (AMOS, Equinox Records, Frittenbude, Mt. Sims), fashion (adidas,SCHAAF, SUPERNOVA), film, and online and print media (BR, BLM, on3).
