Check out the new fashion video from the famed Munich designer inspired by her neighbourhood bakers
- Text by Lea Rieck
The Landwehr Road in downtown Munich is one of the most multicultural streets of the city. From Greek and Turkish supermarkets to Arabic shops you can find everything you want and need. The Munich-based fashion designer Ayzit Bostan has her studio in this area. Her everyday life brought the inspiration for the video she has made with photographer Fabian Frinzel: In the window of a bakery, she daily observed the bakers Yousif, Karzan and Kasem performing.
For her video, the three of them are wearing bomber jackets designed by Ayzit Bostan while working. Looking at them through the shop window creates a mirror of the street life at the same time. Interior and exterior become blurred in the video. And so do the work of Ayzit Bostan and daily live and reality at Landwehrstrasse.
