Paul Vanouse shows his latest tech inspired artworks at Muffathalle
- Text by Antonia Wille
Genetic fingerprint as art? Or is it a fake? In his new biotechnological art-installation and live-performance the american artist Paul Vanouse plays with picture of today's science. Where? In Munich's Muffathalle.
The American artist finds the right way to question the science. Also he plays with his understanding of art. What is natural and what is technical? What is a real fingerprint and what kind of fingerprints do we leave in the technical world? Paul Vanouse finds a whole new way to answer those questions. In a humourous and kind of sarcastic way, Paul Vanouse denaturalises the method of genetic traces.
